About this Recipe

This custom cook will work well for sushi rice and other types or short grain rice. I would highly recommend washing the rice and draining it well first- this will prevent the rice from clumping together and the texture will be a lot better. Ingredients: 2 cups short grain rice (for example, sushi rice) 2 cups water 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt Instructions: 1. In fine mesh strainer rinse rice under running water until water runs clear. This should take 2-3 minutes. Drain rice well. 2. Place rice in Chef's Pan and add 2 cups of water and 1/4 teaspoon of kosher salt. Stir gently, making sure rice is evenly distributed. 3. Slide Chef's Pan, covered, into top oven shelf. Press green button to begin cooking. When done, gently fluff rice with fork and serve.
