About this Custom Cook

This custom cook is a healthy way to eat crispy okra. No breading or deep frying needed! This recipe uses Brava's air fry function to get the okra perfectly crispy.


About 22 okra pods (or however many will fill up all zones of the glass tray when cut in half lengthwise)
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
Kosher salt
Cooking spray


1. Spray all zones of Brava glass tray with cooking spray.
2. Cut top stems off of okra pods.
3. Slice pods in half lengthwise.
4. In bowl, toss okra with 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil and a couple pinches of kosher salt.
5. Place okra, seed side down, in zones 1, 2 and 3 of glass tray.
6. Slide glass tray into top oven shelf and press green button to begin cook.
7. When cook is completed, carefully remove okra from glass tray with tongs.
8. Serve immediately.
