Brava Meat Sauce

About this Recipe
This weeknight classic is sure to become one of your new favorites. Chef Erin combines lean ground beef with Italian sausage to create a super flavorful sauce with minimal effort required. Note that this recipe calls for one 24 oz. jar of marinara sauce- Chef Erin highly recommends Rao’s, but feel free to use your favorite marinara sauce here.
Ingredients
- 0.5 pounds lean ground beef
- 0.5 pounds fresh mild Italian sausage (bulk or casing removed)
- 1.0 count 24oz jar marinara sauce
- Olive oil
- kosher salt

Begin cooking meat
- Spread 1 tablespoon of olive oil evenly across bottom of Brava Chef’s Pan.
- Place ground beef and Italian sausage in Chef’s Pan. Using back of spoon, spread meat into an even layer across bottom of Chef’s Pan. Sprinkle with a few pinches of kosher salt.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, uncovered, into top shelf. Press green button to begin cooking.
- Note: You will remove Chef’s Pan after 10 minutes.

Stir meat
- When Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan.
- Using wooden spoon, break up meat into pieces. Stir and spread meat evenly across bottom of Chef’s Pan.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, uncovered, into top shelf. Press green button to continue cooking.
- Note: You will remove Chef’s Pan after 6 minutes.

Cook sauce
- When Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan.
- Using wooden spoon, break up meat into bite-size pieces.
- Stir in marinara sauce.
- Cover Chef’s Pan with lid.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, covered, into top shelf. Press green button to continue cooking.

Finish & serve
- When meat sauce is done cooking, carefully remove Chef’s Pan and serve immediately.
