About this Recipe

Sausage, peppers, and onions are a classic combination. While great on their own, Chef Annie takes inspiration from German style bratwurst sandwiches, and serves up cooked sausage or bratwurst on soft rolls or buns with the works. Cooked onions and peppers, grainy mustard, ketchup, and sauerkraut are all fabulous toppings but get creative with your favorite fixings!

  • 2½ cups sliced onions and bell peppers (¼-inch-thick slices)
  • 2 toasted hot dog buns or soft white rolls
