Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • ¼ cup Brava Taco Seasoning or store-bought taco seasoning
  • One pack crunchy taco shells, warmed
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded Cheese
  • Pico de Gallo
  • Iceberg lettuce, shredded
  • Brava Taco Seasoning Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1½ teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon cornstarch or all-purpose flour for a saucier consistency

    Brown the beef

    • Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or melted butter to the Brava Chef's Pan.
    • Press ground beef in an even layer in the Chef's Pan. Season with a generous pinch of kosher salt.
    • Slide Chef's Pan, uncovered, into top shelf. Press green button to begin cooking.
    • Note: You will remove Chef’s Pan after 12 minutes.

    Prep spice mixture

    • While the beef is browning, set aside ¼ cup of store bought taco seasoning, or the Brava Taco Seasoning recipe if you have it.
    • To prepare the Brava Taco Seasoning, in a small bowl, mix together: chili powder, smoked paprika, ground cumin, kosher salt, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, and cornstarch (optional) or all-purpose flour. Set seasoning aside.

    Remove excess fat, stir in spices, and continue cooking beef

    • Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan.
    • Break up ground beef with a wooden spoon, pour out excess fat if needed, and mix in prepared taco seasoning of choice to the ground beef. Stir well.
    • Slide Chef's Pan, uncovered, into top shelf. Press green button to continue cooking.
    • Note: You will remove Chef's Pan after 4 minutes.

    Stir again

    • Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan. Stir ground beef mixture well.
    • Slide Chef's Pan, uncovered, into top shelf. Press green button to finish cooking.

    Finish & serve

    • Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan.
    • Serve ground beef as is, in warmed taco shells with desired toppings. Or, to make it saucier, add ½ cup of water to the cooked ground beef mixture in Chef’s Pan, stir while hot, and let sit for about 1 minute before serving.
