About this Recipe

Osso Buco (bone-hole in Italian) is a classic dish from northern Italy with veal shanks, vegetables, wine and broth. The name refers to the look of the veal and the marrow at the end of the cook. Osso Buco alla Milanese is a popular rendition of the dish served alongside risotto, another staple of northern Italy. Besides risotto there are other regional varieties served with polenta, potatoes and even pasta. Whatever you choose, Osso Buco will always be a great centerpiece for a warm hearty dinner. Buon Appetito!
