About this Recipe

Brava Shrimp Fajitas come together faster than the time it takes to order takeout. Really! Shrimp, onions, and peppers cook in just nine minutes in the Brava in this foolproof recipe. Chef Annie loves the combination of red onion, poblano pepper, and bell pepper. Toss ingredients with the Brava Mexican Spice Rub before cooking for a flavorful shortcut. If you don’t have the spice rub on hand, no problem - we’ve noted the amounts needed below. Once cooked, enjoy fajitas in warmed tortillas, with rice, or over quinoa or salad to keep it gluten-free. Serve with fresh lime, cilantro, and a few more pinches of the Mexican Spice Rub for an added punch of flavor.

1

Prep spice mixture

  • If you have the Brava Mexican Spice Rub on hand, skip this step. If not, in small bowl, stir together salt, chili powder, garlic powder, and ground cumin.

2

Prep shrimp & vegetables

  • Pat shrimp dry with paper towels.
  • Lightly drizzle shrimp with 2 teaspoons cooking oil or melted butter.
  • Season both sides of shrimp liberally with spice mixture.
  • Evenly spread shrimp in Zone 1 of Brava metal tray.
  • In mixing bowl, toss onions and peppers with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the rest of the spice mixture.
  • Evenly spread onions and peppers in Zones 2 and 3 of metal tray.

3

Cook shrimp, onions, & peppers

  • Slide metal tray into top shelf.
  • Select “Shrimp Fajitas” on your Brava touchscreen and follow instructions.
  • While food cooks, warm tortillas, slice limes, and chop cilantro.

4

Serve

  • When food is done cooking, add fresh lime juice and cilantro to the metal tray, and toss all ingredients to evenly coat, seasoning to taste.
  • If desired, add a few more pinches of the Brava Mexican Spice Rub for a bolder flavor.
  • Serve in warmed tortillas.
