Ingredients
- 1½ cups chopped yellow onion (½-inch pieces) (about 1 medium onion)
- 3 cloves thinly sliced garlic
- 2 cans (28 oz each) diced fire roasted tomatoes, drained
- 2 lbs ground beef, turkey or pork
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1½ cups tomato sauce
- ⅔ cup ketchup
- ⅓ cup water
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 8 hamburger buns
- Hot sauce and pickles, for serving (optional)

Sear vegetables
- In Brava Chef’s Pan, mix together onion, garlic, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, uncovered, into top shelf.
- Press green button to begin cooking.
- Note: You will add additional ingredients after 5 minutes.

Add tomatoes
- Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan from Brava.
- Add tomatoes and a pinch of salt and black pepper; stir well.
- Return uncovered Chef's Pan to top shelf.
- Press green button to continue cooking.
- Note: You will add additional ingredients after 10 minutes.

Cook sloppy janes
- Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan from Brava.
- Add ground meat, tomato paste, tomato sauce, ketchup, water, brown sugar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes, stir gently.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, uncovered, into top shelf.
- Press green button continue cooking.

Garnish and serve
- Carefully remove Chef’s Pan from Brava.
- Serve on hamburger buns with hot sauce and pickles, if desired.
