I LOVE popcorn shrimp...but frying them is time consuming, messy and not all that healthy. These "Bravafied" shrimp are pretty darn close with texture and flavor!
8 oz. raw small shrimp
1/2 Cup corn starch
1/4 Cup mayo
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. salt
1 Cup seasoned breadcrumbs
Dipping sauces like sweet chili, spicy mayo, buffalo sauce, etc.
Blot the shrimp dry with a paper towel.
Set aside a bowl with the cornstarch. Then whisk mayo, garlic powder, paprika and salt and add 1 tablespoon of water a time until you have a thick creamy consistency. Set another bowl of breadcrumbs aside.
Add shrimp into corn starch and mix until it adheres throughout shrimp. Add shrimp to mayo mixture and mix. Now add it to the bread crumb mixture and use your fingers to crust the shrimp.
Spray some non-stick spray on your Brava sheet pan and disperse shrimp evenly. Place on top rack of Brava and press the green button.
Remove from sheet pan and mix or serve with dipping sauce.
NOTE: This recipe can easily be multiplied. Just cook it in batches.
