Shake Shack Burger
Brava Chef George Duran
The classic Shake Shack burger is easier to make than you think now thanks to your Brava! Remember to customize it to your liking with extra ingredients like bacon! This recipe is for 4 burgers but can be easily adjusted to two.
4 hamburger potato buns
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 pound very cold ground beef
Salt & Pepper
4 slices American cheese
4 pieces green leaf lettuce
8 ¼-inch slices ripe plum tomato
½ cup Hellman’s mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
3/4 teaspoon Heinz ketchup
¼ teaspoon kosher dill pickling brine
Pinch of cayenne pepper
Butter your potato buns and use your Brava to toast them by placing them on your metal tray in the bottom of your Brava and searing the bottom only for about 1-2 minutes. Set the buns aside.
Divide the ground beef into 4 pucks and season with plenty of salt and pepper. Use a flat spatula or a small saucepan to press the four burgers onto your Brava metal tray. Press the green button and flip burger when directed to do so.
As the burger cooks make your Shake Shack sauce by mixing all of the ingredients. Spread sauce on both sides of bun.
When burger is done cooking add American cheese slice (if wanted) and sear on top for 1 minute.
Place burger on bottom bun and top with tomato slices and lettuce.
